There are new details on an East Texas man who turned himself in to police on Wednesday on a charge of sexual assault of a child.

Tyler Morning Telegraph sports writer, 35-year-old Harold Wilson, is accused of having improper relations with a 16-year-old female.

In court documents, the female told police she met Wilson at a John Tyler High School football game. She said the two also attend the same church.

According to the arrest affidavit, Wilson began giving the female rides home from the games back in September of 2012.

In the arrest affidavit, the female reported that Wilson would stop at local parks where the two had sexual relations.

She stated she stopped talking to Wilson around February of this year because she felt Wilson was becoming jealous; however, their relationship resumed a month later.

The affidavit states that an elder at their church learned of the relationship, which both Wilson and the girl admitted to.

The affidavit states the female told a church friend about her relationship with Wilson. The affidavit states that friend told an elder at the church who confronted both the female and Wilson.

The elder told police that both admitted to the sexual relationship. The affidavit states that Wilson texted the female asking, "Have u told anyone at the [at the church] about us? Honestly? I think I'm in trouble. If you did say something like I'm thinking u did, don't EVER talk to me or text me Ever again!"

He reportedly went on to text, "This is going to turn my world upside down."

Wilson was released from the Smith County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
