Bengals host NFL PLAY 60 Character Camp for kids

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The NFL has partnered with Hall of Fame offensive tackle Anthony Muñoz and the Muñoz Agency to host the NFL PLAY 60 Character Camps this summer.

The camps are part of the NFL's year-round Hispanic outreach initiative, in an effort to offer kids the opportunity to play and experience the game of football.

Twelve NFL markets are hosting the event, including Cincinnati with support from the Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium.

Organizers say each camp will host around 300 predominantly-Hispanic boys and girls ages 9-13. The mission of the camps is to make a positive impact through teaching football skills, the importance of exercise and character in athletics and life.

NFL PLAY 60 is the league's youth health and fitness campaign, aimed at getting kids active for 60 minutes a day.

Cincinnati's NFL PLAY 60 Character Camp kicked off on Thursday and will continue on Friday, with appearances from a few Bengals players as well.
