ZWOLLE, LA (KSLA) -

A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the gunman who bound and robbed a 77-year-old Zwolle man in his home last week.

According to the Sabine Parish Sheriff's Office, a masked gunman broke into the elderly man's home off of LA Hwy 1215 early on the morning of June 14. The victim was awakened at gunpoint, and then his hands and ankles were bound with black electrical tape by the gunman.

Police say the victim was then robbed of his television, and cash from his wallet and a safe.

The gunman left the home in the victim's silver 2002 Ford Expedition (LA license # WJG 675). Police say this vehicle was last seen on LA Hwy 1215 traveling toward LA Hwy 191.

The victim described the gunman as a white male standing about 5' 6" to 5' 9" tall with a medium build and stated that he heard another person in the house while being held hostage.

Police believe a silver, compact SUV is a possible vehicle used to assist in the home invasion.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (318) 256-4511. Crime Stoppers, along with the family of the victim is offering a $1,500.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons involved in the crime.
