The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office is trying to identify a man who robbed a Circle K store in Mayer and forced the clerk into a walk-in freezer before he fled.
The clerk told deputies the man came in the store on Highway 69 about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, pulled a bandana over his face and demanded money.
The suspect allegedly threatened to harm the clerk, and the clerk opened the register drawer.
The sheriff's office said the clerk was ordered to the back of the store and forced inside the freezer.
The suspect got away with an unknown amount of cash.
He's described as 5'6'' to 5'7'' tall and about 150 pounds. He's believed to be between 18 and 24 years old with short dark brown hair, clean shaven, wearing a black shirt, black ball cap, black bandana, black gloves and flip flop-type shoes. He has a tattoo that looks like a series of letters along the back of his left forearm.
Those with information are asked to call the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office at 928-771-3260 or Silent Witness at 1-800-932-332 and refer to case number 13-020317.
