Both occupants of the black Nissan Maxima that led Louisiana and Texas police on a high-speed chase Friday morning have been taken into custody and transported back to Caddo Parish.
According to Harrison County spokesperson Jay Webb, 36-year-old Enrique Barrera and Tiffany Conner were inside the vehicle when it crashed around 4 a.m. this morning. Caddo Parish police notified Harrison County officials when the chase crossed the state-line into Texas.
The driver, Barrera, lost control of the Maxima after the car side-swiped an 18-wheeler near mile marker 597 on Interstate 20.
Barrera is being charged with evading arrest with a vehicle. The passenger, Conner, is being charged with evading arrest. Barrera already had an arrest warrant issued for him in Caddo Parish.
Neither Barrera or Conner sustained injuries from the crash.
