LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

Two Longview teens have been arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a shooting that occurred on Sunday. According to the Longview Police Department, 19-year-old Tre Lee Jackson and 19-year-old Davian Leon Hopkins were taken into custody Sunday afternoon.

Authorities were dispatched to a shooting in progress in the 600 block of Owings Avenue. When officers arrived, they discovered that Charles Dunn III had been shot multiple times inside a home. The suspects fled the scene before police arrived, but officers were able to locate the suspects later Sunday afternoon.

Both Jackson and Hopkins were hiding underneath a sheet in the backyard of a home several houses down from where the shooting occurred. The suspects were taken into custody and transported to Gregg County Jail.

Jackson and Hopkins were arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Jackson was also arrested on two outstanding burglary of a habitation warrants from Harrison County.

Dunn was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
