Longview police arrest pair for forgery

An East Texas man and woman are in jail after police say their tried to cash a stolen check at a Longview convenience store.

Longview police responded to Scotties Shell Station on Hawkins Parkway on Monday where 40-year-old Therion Nalls, was allegedly trying to cash a check that had been stolen from Sherwin-Williams Paint Store.

Shuntilla Richardson, 32, was also taken into custody by officers after they found that she had driven Nalls to the store, and had stolen credit cards and checks.

Nalls remains jailed on a $2,500 bond on a charge of forgery of a financial instrument.

Richardson is being held on bonds totaling $174,000, charged with two counts of credit card abuse and forgery of a financial instrument.
