Police release surveillance video of Dollar General robbery

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Tyler police have released the surveillance video of a robbery that occurred on Saturday night at the Dollar General at 2724 W. Gentry Pkyway in Tyler. 

According to police, two employees working inside the store observed a white or Hispanic  male enter through the front door. His face was concealed with what appeared to be a gas mask and armed with a black pistol-grip shotgun. The suspect pointed the gun at the employees and demanded money. After making off with an undetermined amount of money, the suspect fled the scene on foot.

The employees were unharmed during the incident. The suspect was described as being between 5'10 and 6'0" tall, weighing approximately 145 pounds, with brown hair. 

The incident is still under investigation.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).  Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
