TCU's Patterson visits Kilgore for camp

KILGORE, TX (KLTV) -

The TCU Horned Frogs were in East Texas Wednesday.

High school juniors and seniors from around the area were at Kilgore High School for the Gary Patterson Football Camp.

Patterson and the rest of the TCU coaching staff put kids through testing drills, hoping to find that next big star.

East Texas has been good to the Horned Frogs helping coach Patterson turn the program into a national power.

"Any time TCU has been good, we've always had good players on our team that come from East Texas," said Patterson.  "A lot of great talent, a lot great families and a lot great kids. It's been awesome through the years. It's been 16 years and this has been one of our grounds. We felt like we needed to reach out so we could evaluate kids and that's what we've been able to do."
