TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas relief fund has raised thousands of dollars to help employees of an Oklahoma EMS group affected by the May 20 Moore, Okla. Tornado.

The ETMC Foundation set up a "Helping Hands-OKC Fund" to help EMSA, the emergency medical service provider for Oklahoma City. EMSA had several employees who had property either damaged or destroyed in the May 20 Moore, Okla. Tornado. EMSA is owned by the East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System.

A total of $26,000 was raised by the ETMC Foundation through their "Helping Hands-OKC Fund." Included in that total, $8,400 was donated by ETMC and their Paramedics Plus affiliates across the country.

ETMC officials say they expect to give the money this week to the EMSA members affected by the tornado.
