Jefferson superintendent leaving for Central Texas

JEFFERSON, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas school district is searching for a new superintendent after their leader is leaving to lead a Central Texas school district.

Jefferson Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Sharon Ross has been named the new superintendent of the Mexia ISD in Central Texas.

Ross was at Jefferson for five years according to the district's website. She has also worked in Lindale, Lufkin, Overton, Tyler and Crockett Independent School Districts.

Dr. Ross will be introduced in Mexia at a school board meeting on Tuesday.
