A local businessman is getting national attention!
Tom Ramey made an appearance on the popular shopping network QVC earlier tonight showing off his latest invention called "My Treasure Box." It's an organizational tool that holds knickknacks and pictures and even has a place to grow grass or plants.
Ramey is the owner of Vu-Ryte, Incorporated in Tyler. For the last 10 years, his company has made products that make working around a computer more pleasant.
Ramey beat out thousands of other hopefuls to debut his invention in front of a national audience. He was given six minutes to sell his product at a price of $16.87.
Ramey was one of only two people chosen to be on QVC to market his product. During his few minutes on the air, he sold 665 of the "My Treasure Boxes." After tonight, they sell for $20.00.
