Cincinnati area car dealer giving vets $50 gift cards

Several Cincinnati car dealerships are giving away $50 gift cards to active and retired military and veterans starting on Friday though June 2.

In partnership with a non-profit military charity called Thanks-A-Bunch for Keeping Us Safe, the Performance Automotive Group organized the gift card giveaway to demonstrate its gratitude and support of our military. More than 18,000 restaurants across the nation are participating. 

"We are excited to provide lunch or dinner to a service person or veteran and their families at a quality restaurant," said Jim Lemay, the director of operations. 

Active and retired military can stop by the following Performance Group locations now through Sunday, June 2 to receive a free $50 gift card.

Participating Performance Group locations include:

  • Performance Honda at 5760 Dixie Highway in Fairfield
  • Performance Toyota at 5676 Dixie Highway in Fairfield
  • Lexus RiverCenter at 633 W. 3rd St. in Covington
  • Performance Lexus at 4328 Kings Water Drive in Cincinnati
  • Kings Honda at 4521 Kings Water Drive in Cincinnati

Austin freshman Josh Campbell sent a hard single to up the middle and pinch runner Chad Dunlop tried to score the game-tying run from second only to see New Orleans shortstop Aaron Palmer recover from knocking the ball down and throw out Dunlop at the plate which ended the `Jacks' season in a 4-3 loss in a Southland Conference Tournament elimination game at Constellation Field Thursday morning.
