Colerain Township dedicates new gateway memorial

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

On Friday, members of the Colerain Township police and fire departments, along with representatives from each branch of the armed services, will be in attendance for the dedication of the Colerain Township Memorial located at the intersection Colerain and Springdale.

In the planning stages for nearly a decade, the memorial gained traction following the tragic deaths of township Firefighters Robin Broxterman and Brian Schira who were among the first responders to a house fire in Hamilton County in 2008.

The memorial is intended to honor the men and women of Colerain Township who have given their lives in the line of duty.

The township is offering memorial pavers to the public, with bricks available for purchase on the township website - http://www.colerain.org/residents/memorial-fund/.
