Former Colquitt Co. star Flournoy-Smith leaving UGA

ATHENS, GA (WALB) -

Former Colquitt Co. tight end Ty Flournoy-Smith is transferring from the University of Georgia.

According to reports, Flournoy-Smith will likely transfer to a junior college and could return to UGA in the future.

Flournoy-Smith appeared in 8 games for the Bulldogs, mostly on special teams.

He received the Porter Otis Payne Football Scholarship, but also ran into some trouble.

He was arrested in February for filing a false police report.

With the Packers, Flournoy-Smith led his team to the state finals in 2010 and the state semis in 2011.

He was named first-team All State as well.
