FT THOMAS, KY (FOX19) -

Motorcycle riders from throughout the tri-state area will depart for Washington, D.C. on Wednesday for a Memorial Day weekend rally honoring military prisoners of war and soldiers missing in action.

Nearly 1 million riders are expected to converge on our nation's capital for the 26th annual P.O.W. MIA event.

Meanwhile, this is the  4th year riders are gathering at the Campbell County YMCA for a procession that will take them to the Newport Peace Bell for a send-off ceremony.

This year students are expected to line the streets of Ft. Thomas cheering on riders and showing their support for veterans who have bravely served our country.
