A time honored tradition for freshmen starting college at Letourneau was conducted today in Longview. It was the annual Freshmen Forging Friendships community outreach program for incoming freshmen at Letourneau university. Over 400 freshmen students participated in community help projects around Longview, including cleaning up area parks painting and building Habitat homes and landscaping.
The purpose is to get new students into the mind set of community service throughout their college years to see the positive difference they can make in the lives of others. The students will revisit the work programs numerous times during the school year.
