Car Show Attracts Crowd

Take a nice August day and throw in a bunch of classic cars and what do you get... One successful event.

Nearly 100 classic cars were on display in Lindale Saturday afternoon for the "Friends of the Lindale Library" car show.  From the classic roadsters to the muscle cars, 84 rides were set up for adoring eyes.

The event attracted over a thousand people.  Many coming out to see a piece of their past.

"I just like the nostalgia just to see what kind of creations are still alive and well and running on the street today and the pride that goes into the workmanship.. It's beautiful," said Jim Baumgartner, who attended the car show.

It was the first year for the event in Lindale.  They hope to continue the shows in the future.
