MASON, OH (FOX19) -

Kings Island honored the brave men and women who serve in the U.S. military this Memorial Day weekend by offering free admission to the park.

All members of the military – active and retired – received free entry throughout the holiday weekend. A valid military ID was required to take advantage of the offer.

Thomas May, 72, served in the Navy for 23 years, including 12 years as a SEAL. He also completed three tours in Vietnam. On Sunday, May was among the guests who rode the Diamondback roller coaster at Kings Island.

The 364-acre amusement and waterpark is now open daily.
