Ore City Fire Chief honored

ORE CITY, TX (KLTV) -

A celebration was held in Ore City Saturday for a fire chief, who has given more than 30 years of service to his community.

The fire department held a celebration for fire chief Gaston Deberry. Deberry has 35 years of service to the fire department, with 30 of those as chief.

    Smith County Sheriff's Office: Today just prior to 11:00 am, Inmate Quincy Butler was removed from life support at a local hospital. Quincy Butler subsequently expired as a result of his previous injuries.
