UT Tyler wins first NCAA national championship

The UT Tyler men's golf team has won the school's first NCAA Division III national championship.  The Patriots were in second place entering the final day of the national championship tournament, but saved there best for last.

UT Tyler overcame a two shot deficit in the final round to beat Transylvania by seven strokes.  The Patriots finished the tournament at 27 over par.

Freshman Buddy Hallman finished the tournament second overall, shooting two over par. Three other Patriots also finished in the top 30.
