The 2004 high school football season kicked off a day early as four kickoff classics got underway on Thursday.
In Tyler, Gilmer exploded to a big win over Pine Tree. Led by Terrance Lovely and Manuel Johnson, the Buckeyes crush the Pirates 48-7.
In Gladewater, the Azalea Orthopedic Kick-off Classic saw another one-sided game. Tatum's Quarterback Stephen Hodges controlled the game from the start. He led the Eagles to the 21-0 shutout of Jefferson.
In Arp, at the Arp Classic, Cross Roads got on the board first with the Garrett Morris touchdown, but Harleton would rattle off 5 unanswered touchdowns and beat the Bobcats 35-7.
