Deputies: Drunk couple tries to take dip in stranger's hot tub

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A couple decided to go for a dip in a hot tub in a northwest Portland neighborhood.

The only problem, according to deputies, is it wasn't their hot tub.

Deputies arrested Christopher Martini, 31, and Megan Ferguson, 21, late Tuesday night. Multnomah County sheriff's deputies responded to the 400 block of Northwest Hilltop Drive after a homeowner called 911.

Investigators said Martini and Ferguson, one of whom was naked, tried to get into a hot tub, only to discover it was locked.

At one point, deputies said Martini also tried to open the door to the home.

A sheriff's office spokesman said the couple appeared to be intoxicated. They both face trespassing charges, while Martini is also charged with attempted burglary.

Deputies said Ferguson was naked as she tried to open the locked hot tub.

A no complaint order was issued for the suspects Wednesday, meaning they are no longer charged with a crime. Prosecutors do reserve the right to file criminal charges again at a later date.
