TEMPE, AZ (CBS5/AP) -

A Scottsdale-based web-hosting company is building a new technology center at Arizona State University's research park in Tempe.

GoDaddy plans to house 1,300 engineers, developers and customer care representatives in a new two-story, 150,000-square-foot facility. Three hundred of the workers will be new hires.

The building is set to open next year.

Tuesday's jobs announcement is Gov. Jan Brewer's fifth since February.

The state has landed a major General Motors information technology center, a new Union Bank mortgage operations center, the U.S. headquarters for a Netherlands-based software firm and a large operations center for a company that matches patients with doctors online.

Together, the five announcements are expected to add about 2,400 jobs in the next several years.

Joining the governor for Tuesday's announcement was GoDaddy CEO Blake Irving and Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell, as well as officials with Ryan Companies, the Arizona Commerce Authority and the Greater Phoenix Economic Council.
