In accordance with Rascal Flatts concert tickets set to go on sale Saturday, May 11, some paperless tickets will be in use for select seats. The concert is scheduled for September 5 at Riverbend Music Center.
With the paperless tickets, fans are required to show the original purchaser's credit card and a photo ID at Riverbend to gain admittance.
Officials with Fan Freedom and Consumer Action say fans should review the ticketing policy closely before purchasing tickets to the show. Fan Freedom is funded by StubHub.
Paperless tickets are nontransferable, or in other words, they can't be resold or given away.
Officials with Ticketmaster point out in almost all cases, paperless tickets are only offered for a portion of seats, meaning fans can still purchase paper tickets if they choose to do so.
In addition, it's up to the artist or sports team what kind of tickets are sold and at what cost. Ticketmaster then sells what is provided at the selected amount.
