Police: 2 men arrive at Longview hospital with gunshot wounds, 1 arrested

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

One of two men who showed up at a Longview hospital on Tuesday afternoon suffering from gunshot wounds has been arrested. 

According to Longview police, the shooting occurred in the 1200 block of Lorin Drive in Longview. The the men then drove themselves to the hospital around 1:30 p.m.

Neither man was cooperating with authorities. Longview police believe the men were shooting at each other. Neither man's injuries were life threatening.

While authorities were escorting the man from the hospital, he escaped, but was apprehended a short time later. He is charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon and escaping from officers. The identity of the man will be released when he is arraigned.
