Lufkin man with extensive criminal record arrested for evading arrest and assault

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin police arrested Walter Earl Walker Jr. Saturday on charges of evading arrested with previous conviction and assault causes bodily injury family violence.

Walker Jr. has a jail record in Angelina County dating back to April 2010 including: parole warrant for robbery, Driving while intoxicated 2nd offense, burglary of habitation, possession of methamphetamine , burglary of a vehicle and failure to appear in court.

His bond is set at $1,500. Further details about the alleged offense were not immediately available.
