BROWN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

The Ohio State patrol has announced an OVI checkpoint in Brown County.

The checkpoint will be held Saturday night from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on US 52 in Higginsport, mile post 5.

The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

The checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.
