It was a celebration of 68 years of caring for babies and toddlers.
Mayor Joey Seeber proclaimed today Tyler Day Nursery Day.
Three- and 4-year-olds came out to celebrate, giving flowers to nursery parents, employees, board members, and volunteers. The kids also performed songs and dances they've learned at the nursery.
One mother watching her daughter says her child is a different person since attending the nursery, and life is better for both of them.
"It's been a lot easier," Dana Viramontes said. "And I just can't imagine not being here. It's amazing."
Tyler Day Nursery provides low-cost care to children from low-income families. The nursery prepares the kids for kindergarten and gives them support outside the family.
