Celebrity guest list for Barnstable-Brown Gala released

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Celebrities from the worlds of sports and entertainment will be among the guests at the 25th annual Barnstable Brown Kentucky Derby Eve Gala Friday night.

The party, founded by twin sisters Patricia Barnstable Brown and Priscilla Barnstable along with Patricia's late husband Dr. David E. Brown, benefits the Barnstable Brown Diabetes and Obesity Research Center at the University of Kentucky. The gala has raised approximately $9 million over the last seven years.

 According to a news release, Maserati will premiere never-before-seen luxury cars at the gala, while social media company Twitter is bringing its unique "Twitter Mirror," which recently debuted at the Oscars, for instant photo sharing.

To honor the gala's 25th anniversary, New Era hat company will present every guest with a complimentary hat complete with a custom Barnstable Brown Gala 25th anniversary hat box, and Vineyard Vines will give gifts to party guests, including ties, scarves, handkerchiefs and belts.

The star-studded bash is held at the Highlands home of Patricia Barnstable-Brown.  "Our 25th year is going to be phenomenal," said Barnstable-Brown. "It'll be one for the history books."
