A judge has denied a request to loosen the probation restrictions of a Prescott woman who pleaded guilty to stalking police.
The Daily Courier reports in August Laura Jean Christianson was sentenced to six months in prison and 15 years of intensive probation, which means she can only leave her home to go to work. She was accused of showing up and an officer's home and calls he answered.
About a dozen officers showed up for Tuesday's hearing, and three asked the judge to leave her sentence as-is. They told the judge Christianson had a book on how to commit "suicide by cop" in her home when she was arrested.
Christianson's attorney had argued that the request had come from the county's probation department.
The judge said she'd revisit the issue after a mental health evaluation.
