LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas woman is jailed after attacking a woman with a hammer and "staple gun."

Longview say 49-year-old Stacy Murray was arrested Monday after she assaulted another woman with a hammer and staple gun in the 400 block of Johnson Street.

The victim told police Murray swung the hammer at her twice, but missed before she escaped into her apartment.

Investigators say Murray was able to open the door, then hit the victim in the eye with a staple gun.

Murray is being held in the Gregg County jail on $15,000 bond charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
