TV crew to perform 'small explosion' on Granny White Pk.

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Residents in a central Nashville neighborhood have been notified of a planned "small explosion" during filming of a television show.

Crews for the show Nashville plan to set off an explosion Tuesday night at the intersection of Granny White Pike and Battlefield Drive.

The intersection will be closed to traffic from 5 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday, and the production company sent letters to nearby residents and businesses warning that a special effect will require a "small explosion."

They warned that the blast is going to be loud and ask onlookers not venture near the site for their own safety.
