Pros headline Holmes CC hall of fame class

Holmes CC inducted a stellar hall of fame class Thursday night headlined by an all-star pitcher and two former 1st round NFL picks.

The 2013 class of Bulldog greats include Roy Oswalt, Walter Jones, Duane Starks, Chris White, Xan Barksdale, Randy Martin, Candice Parish and Bradley MacNealy.

Oswalt played at Holmes in 1996 and '97 before being drafted by the Astros. He's pitched in the major leagues every year since 2001.

Walter Jones graduated from Holmes in 1994 and then went on to play at Florida St. Jones was a first round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in 1997 and played with them until 2009.

Duane Starks came through Goodman, MS from 1993-'95 and then moved on to play at the University of Miami. Starks was the 10th overall pick of the 1998 draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He won a Super Bowl with them in 2000.
