Several displaced after Sycamore Twp apartment fire

SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Crews battled a two-alarm apartment fire Thursday evening in Sycamore Township.

Authorities say a fire broke out at an apartment building on Kings Lake Drive, near to I-275 at Montgomery Road. It happened around 8 p.m.

Crews say the fire originated in the apartment of a family on vacation. A section of the 12-unit building suffered significant damage.

Several engines responded to the scene. One firefighter was taken to Bethesda North Hospital for a concussion, but has since been released.

All 12 apartments in the building were displaced as a result of the blaze.

Authorities say the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
