7 from 7: Stories for your Thursday afternoon

One more day, everybody. Just one more day until your weekend begins!

While you're waiting, here are some of the stories we think you'll want to know more about:

1. George W. Bush shed a sentimental tear. Barack Obama mused about the burdens of the office. Bill Clinton dished out wisecracks. Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush chimed in, too, on a rare day of harmony at the dedication of the younger Bush's presidential library. If you missed it, read more and check out our video clips here.

2.  The names of those killed in the West fertilizer plant explosion have been officially released, and today is a memorial service to remember those who lost their lives. President Barack Obama is scheduled to speak at the service in just a few minutes. Click here for the livestream. Also watch for reporter Shaley Sanders' report from West today on East Texas News at 5pm.

3.  "Save us, brother. I beg you, brother," Mohammad Altab moaned to the rescuers who could not help him. He had been trapped for more than 24 hours, pinned between slabs of concrete in the ruins of the garment factory building where he worked. Officials had demanded the building be closed due to safety risk, but officials at the garment factory kept employees there working. More details and video here.

4.  Kilgore Police Detectives have determined through investigation the previously reported robbery at Dr. Sam Fino's Clinic on Henderson Blvd in Kilgore on March 26 did not occur. We'll tell you what they say REALLY happened here.

5. BREAKING: We are learning that a car has driven into a church in Malakoff. No word yet on injuries, but we do know that the crash started a fire of some sort. We are working to get you the details as soon as possible. Make sure to watch East Texas News at 4, 5, and 6 for the latest.

6. The Gladewater baby who was born with part of her brain outside her head had surgery last night and is now awake and recovering at Children's Medical Center in Dallas. Our Mitch Goulding spoke to baby Ella's mom today, and we'll tell you what she had to say about her "miracle baby" at 5.

7. Now, about the upcoming weekend: here's your list of things to do in East Texas this weekend! Live music and much more from across ETX will keep you having fun all weekend long, if you like. See the list here.

Make sure to join us for all the latest news and weather at 4, 5 and 6 on KLTV7 and KLTV.com, where we have a live stream for your convenience.
