Robbery suspect, wanted since Monday, surrenders to police

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

An aggravated robbery suspect surrendered to Tyler Police Department investigators on Wednesday, ending a search that had been ongoing since Monday.

According to Tyler police, Jarome Antoine Wilson, 25, and two other suspects allegedly forced their way into a residence at North Chase Apartments in Tyler. The suspects displayed a handgun while they ransacked the apartments and stole numerous electronic items. A female and three young children were present in the apartment at the time of the robbery.

A warrant for aggravated robbery was issued for Wilson, a known gang member. He turned himself in on Wednesday just after 3 p.m.

The case remains under investigation.
