Warren Co. officials to hold fraud seminar

LEBANON, OH (FOX19) -

Warren County officials are holding a community seminar on ways to spot and prevent fraudulent activity.

Attendees will learn more information on money handling systems, anti-theft procedures and internal controls for community organizations.

Organizers say the seminar was brought on by recent cases involving the misappropriation of non-profit, church, school and community organization funds. As a result, thousands of dollars raised by the community has not been used for the intended purpose.

Prosecutor David Fornshell and the Warren County Police Chiefs Association are sponsoring the event, scheduled for Thursday from 7-9 p.m. in the Warren County Administration Building, located at 406 Justice Drive in Lebanon.

The seminar is free and open to the public.
