Adams Capitol Murder Trial To Begin

The capitol murder trial of an East Texas man accused of killing a man after robbing a convenience store nearly two years ago, is set to begin Monday in Palestine.

Authorities say 21-year-old Buenka Adams and another man, robbed a Rusk convenience store back in September of 2002. After stealing $600 in cash, the men kidnapped Kenneth Vandever and two employees, took them to a deserted field, and shot them, killing Vandever

Adams' accomplice, 20-year-old Richard Cobb was convicted of murder earlier this year. He was sentenced to death.

Adams is also facing the death penalty.
