Lufkin library book sale continues this week

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Books, book, and more books. The 41st annual Kurth Memorial book sale is underway.

The book sale will go until 5 p.m. Saturday and is open to the public.  

Organizers of the event say they have thousands of books and there is plenty to choose from.

The books are priced low so that everyone can afford them.  

Cassette tapes, VHS tapes and DVDs are also on sale.

The funds all go to help improve the library.

"This price is very good. They usually are all under three dollars.This money, usually between 15 and 20 thousand dollars is re-admitted to the library for their use.">

An auction table will be available for very rare books, including a children's book that starts at $85. Hardback books will go on sale on Thursday.
