First Lady Michelle Obama presented the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County with the prestigious 2013 National Medal for Museum and Library Service, awarded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
This award is the nation's highest honor recognizing museums and libraries for their service to the community. Only ten libraries received the recognition. A ceremony was held Wednesday afternoon at the White House.
