Department of Public Safety troopers arrested two Shreveport residents on drug
charges Sunday morning after a search of their vehicle during a traffic stop allegedly
revealed cocaine hidden in the SUV's head liner and a hall-rolled cigar
Parish, 26, and Carletha Renee Hall, 35, are still being held in the
Nacogdoches County Jail. Both suspects were charged with manufacture or
delivery of a controlled substance between 1 and 400 grams, a first-degree
felony, and possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana, a Class B
misdemeanor. No bail has been for either suspect at this time.
the arrest affidavit, DPS troopers stopped the pair's SUV on U.S. Highway 59
North for speeding. When the trooper made contact with the Parish, the driver,
he reportedly noticed a strong odor of marijuana wafting from the car.
