Middletown police arrested a man they said admitted to trying to steal more than $860 worth of nail polish from a CVS in the city.
Just after 9 p.m. Thursday, police said they were called to the CVS on Washington Street after the store's loss prevention manager saw a man, later identified as Marco Gonzales, of Middletown, start putting bottles of nail polish into his sweatshirt.
Police arrived and spoke with Gonzales who admitted to the officer that he had more than 100 bottles of nail polish hidden in his sweatshirt.
CVS officials said they wanted to press charges so Gonzales was arrested and charged with larceny.
He was released on $10,000 bond and was given a court date of May 1.
