GLADEWATER, TX (KLTV) -

Spencer, an 11-week-old Shih Tzu, who was seen on video surveillance being stolen from a pet store is now safe and sound.

On April 10, Laura Borens, owner of Longview's Wet Pets 'N Critters, said surveillance tape showed a male customer walking towards the dog pen, looking around, and then picking up Spencer.

The customer then stuffed the puppy into his jacked and zipped it up before walking out of the store.

Borens said she had some assistance from Gregg County Sheriff's Office and also had information that the dog may have been dumped off of Locker Plant Road in Gladewater.

On Saturday, Borens went looking for Spencer and found him near that road. She said he was cold and wet, but unharmed.

Borens said little Spencer is now back home at Wet Pets 'N Critters.
