Some East Texas fire departments are chipping in to help a fellow department in need.
Thursday, KLTV brought viewers the story of the Jackson Heights Community Volunteer Fire Department.
All three of the departments fire units are in serious need of repairs or replacement. Two units have broken down in route to calls.
Chief Terence Thompson of Jackson Heights said the Lindale Volunteer Fire Department is letting Jackson Heights borrow a grass truck until they can buy a replacement.
The Carlisle Volunteer Fire Department could give the department a fire engine.
