American Airlines has restored its reservation system, the outage of which grounded all flights across the U.S. However, delays are expected in getting travelers to their destination.

At 3:30 p.m., American Airlines, which also operates American Eagle, a regional carrier that services Tyler, released a statement saying that their systems were fully restored, but that the airline expected flight delays and cancellations to to continue throughout the day.

All American Eagle flights departing from Tyler Pounds Regional Airports have been cancelled. All arriving flights have been cancelled except for flight 3210, which listed as 'on time' for a 10 p.m. arrival.

Earlier on Tuesday, it was reported that the computer system that controls booking and reservations had malfunctioned, delaying flights across the country.

"Our system being down also affects out aircraft since that is how we report weight and balance," read an American Airlines tweet. "Our apologies for the delay."

Some passengers are stuck on planes while others can't make reservations.

Passengers are using social media to flood the airline with complaints.

On Twitter, American is sending out apologies but not offering customers much information about when the problem will be fixed.
