Therriault continues education before CFL shot

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

He was a record setter during his two seasons at Jackson state piling up over 7,000 passing yards and 58 touchdowns.

What's up with Casey Therriault now?

He's back at JSU finishing his degree before heading north in June to play in the Canadian Football League with the BC Lions.

"I have a couple of teammates that I played with that I've been working out with down here. I Came back to graduate. Get some southern weather obviously. If I was up north right now it would be tough for me to get outside and throw the ball around. Trying to stay in shape the best I can and going to graduate. So, that's why I came back," Therriault stated.

Therriault is back hitting the books making sure life after football is a little bit easier.

"When I'm done playing, whenever that time comes, hopefully due to old age, I'll be able to come and coach. I'm going to need a degree to do that. I'll probably go back and get my masters soon," Therriault said.
