Montgomery shines in JSU spring game

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Jackson State Blue team edged the White team 17-6 in the annual JSU spring game.

Alexander Montgomery's 92-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter got the White squad on the board first.

Montgomery finished with a team high 111 yards rushing.

Former Madison Central star Tobias Singleton made an impact on special teams. Singleton returned a kick off for a score.

Former Lanier Bulldog Teddrick Terrell was the leading tackler with seven. He also added two sacks.

JSU opens the 2013 season August 31, against Tulane in New Orleans.
