SULPHUR SPRINGS, TX (KLTV) -

Brian Allen Tucker unexpectedly pleaded guilty on Thursday to capital murder, and all the charges stemming from his escape last week.

According to Hopkins County DA Will Ramsay, Tucker decided to plead guilty after attending a pre-trial hearing on Wednesday.

Tucker was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole for the April 2011 murder of Bobby Riley of Mahoney. He also pleaded guilty to all of the charges stemming from last week's escape from the Hopkins County Jail.

Tucker got 25 years for escape, 20 years for the charge of burglary of a habitation, and 20 years for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Tucker was also sentenced to 20 years for a State Jail theft charge in 2011. He got the maximum sentence for the charge because of his prior criminal history.

All of the charges will be served concurrently.
