CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens has a new, more beautiful way to conserve water.

As part of a project by the Regional Storm Water Collaborative, local leaders unveiled 42 rain barrels at the Cincinnati Zoo on Tuesday.

A painting contest was held to produce multiple rain barrels, called 'Saving Rain for a Sunny Day'. The barrels will be on display throughout the Go Green Garden at the zoo, and people who visit can place their vote on the best one.

The winner will be given a 'People's Choice Award' with the most votes.

A fundraising gala and expo is planned for April 18 where the barrels will be auctioned off, as part of an Earth Day celebration.
